YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland. —Fine weather and a l'.ght southerly wind prevailed yesterday, but the sky was cloudy and threatening at intervals.
Wellington —The weather in the morning was fine but overcast. In the afternoon the sun broke through, and the remainder of the day was gloriously fine. There was a light breeze from the north.
Christchurch. —The weather was sunny and pleasant in Christehuich yesterday, with a light south-westerly breeze in the morning, changing to a fresh northeasterly in the afternoon. The barometer was steady at 29.87 in. Dunedin.—The weather was sunny and pleasant with a fresh breeze from the north-east. The barometer fell during the day, but was rising in the evening an# registered 29.80 in.
