[from our own* correspondent.] TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. The Te Awamutu Swimming Club's carnival at the Municipal Baths last evening provided keen interest for the many spectators. The special event of the evenin? w a» t' le South Auckland Championship over 75 yards, which B. Gibb (Hamilton Y.M.C.A.) won by about 4ft.. from the local champion, R. L. Adams, who narrowly defeated H. Peake. Following were the results:— 33 1-3 Yards Handicap, boys.—J. Bevin. 1; R. Renton, 2; K. Miller, 3. Won by a touch.
