EXTRACTS FROM THE HERALD. LAND SALE AT ROTORUA. The following are extracts from the New Zealand Herald of February 24, 1882: The natives at Rotorua are watching narrowly the movements of the pro motel's of the new township and hesitate to enter at present into discussion of the subject. A greafc number of visitors from all parts of the hemisphere and many more are expected on the day of sale. Owing to the scarcity of pilots to take charge of vessels through the Suez Canal quite a block has been occasioned. At the present time there are no less than 58 vessels detained from this cause. A movement in favour of restoring the elder branch of the House of Bourbon, in the person of Count de Chambord, to the throne of France, has been gaining ground for some time past. The Legitimist Party, who are dissatisfied with the Republic, have been unusually active of late.
