In the, billiards match between Davis and McConachy, the scores are:—McConncliy, 11.395, including breaks of 233, 377, 249, 608 and 145; Davis, 11.005, including breaks of 835, 404 and 242. LINDRUM IN CANADA. MATCH WITH NEWMAN. (Received February 23. 7.55 p.m.) MONTREAL, Feb. 22. Walter Lindrum (Australia) and Tom Newman (Britain) opened their Canadian tour to-day by commencing a six flays' billiards match. At the close of play the scores- were:—Newman (receives 3000), 4519: Lindrum, 1282, including a break of 539. TOOTBALL IN ENGLAND. RUGBY LEAGUE MATCH. LONDON. Feb. 22. In a Rugby League Cup match, Halifax beat Huaslet, 16 —2. BOXING AT SYDNEY. REOPENING OF STADIUM. SYDNEY. Feb. 23. Very few spectators were present when Hie Sydney Stadium was reopened after having been closed for several months. In the main bout, Bobby Blay, 9.9, knocked out Roy Burns, 9.8, in the fourth round.
