OBITUARY.
MR. WILLIAM POYXEII. [BY TELEGRArH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAFAROA, Tuesday. The death occurred on Sunday evening at Tc Kopuru Hospital of Mr. William I'ovner, of Matakohe, aged 67 years. Born at Komokoriki, Kaipara, Mr. Poyner spent his early days there, and over 40 years ago moved to Northern Wairoa and, subsequently, to Matakohe. lie took an active part in the kauri timber industry and, with his sons, was often engaged in the transport of logs by bullock team. He also farmed successfully in the district. In 1898, Mr. Poyner married Miss Marie Browne, He is survived by Messrs. Ray and Reg Poyner, of Matakohe, and Mrs. Hammond, qf Hukatcrc.
