BURGLARY AND THEFT.
JUDGE EXTENDS PROBATION. [from oi t r own con respondent. ] HAMILTON, Tuesdny. A charge of breaking and entering the shop of Raleam La Hood at Ohura and stealing 31 bottles of beer was admitted by John Box, a middle-aged man, in the Hamilton Supreme Court to day. Accused said he was intoxicated at the time he committed the offence. Mr. Justice Smith said the probation officer had given Box a favourable report. Accused was admitted to probation for a year and was ordered to make restitution and to pay £7 7s toward the cost of the prosecution.
