PRINCE OF SWEDEN.

MARRIAGE TO COMMONER.

KING TO BE DEFIED.

STOCKHOLM, Feb. 19,

Because King Gustav, of Sweden, Europe's oldest monarch, will not allow his grandson, Prince Lcnnart, to wed a commoner, the Prince will marry the sweetheart of his childhood—an accountant's daughter—in a fortnight, at a London registry office. The girl is Miss Karin Nishvandt, who share's her fiance's love of farming. The witnesses at the wedding will include the bridegroom's father, Prince Wilhelm, Duke of Soedermanland, and the bride's mother. The couple will be known as Mr. and Mrs. Bernadotte. They will spend a Continental honeymoon, travelling in the bridegroom's 250 horse-power Mercedes, formerly owned by the " speed king," Caracciola. Eventually they will settle at Mainau Castle, on an island on Lake Constance. Though the Cabinet may deprive the Prince of all his Royal rights and obligations, he says titles are nothing to Karin.
