BRITISH PASSENGER STEAMERS. Tamaroa. left Southampton January 27: due Wellington March 2 Ruahine, left Southampton February 12; due Auckland March 20. The "Waimarino is announced to load at Dunedin next Monday and afterwards at Oninaru, 'i'imaru, Lyttelton, Pictou and Wellington for Auckland. The Waipiala did not leave Timaru for Auckland on Saturday, as was expected. Her departure was postponed until last evening. She is now duo on Friday. The Pnkeko is due from Portland early this morning. The vessel will load at Central Wharf and she is to sail for East, Coast bays, Gisbomo and Napier this afternoon. The Cnnopus arrived from Westport yesterday morning nnd berthed at King's Wharf. The vessel will be removed to Western Wharf this morning and she is to sail for Westport this evening. TOFUA FOR THE ISLANDS. The Tofua was despatched for Fiji, Tonga and Samoa at midday yesterday. She will return to Auckland on March 14. NAHLIN UfrDOCKS TO-DAY. The largo steam yacht Nahlin will bp undocked this morning. She will berth at Western Wharf to complete refitting. MATAI FOR NORTHERN LIGHTHOUSES The Government steamer Matai is to leave Wellington to-morrow for East Coast lighthouses and Auckland. From Auckland she will lH'Oceed to Northern lighthouses. GRACE HARWAR SAILED. The Finnish full-rigged ship Grace Harwar sailed for Pert Victoria, South Australia, yesterday afternoon, to load a wheat cargo for either South Africa or Europe. WAIHEMO AT SUVA. The Waihemo arrived at Suva from Auckland on Sunday. The vessel will load a sugar cargo in Fiji for Vancouver. After discharge she will load at Pacific Coast porta for New Zealand. ORARI LEAVES LIVERPOOL. The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-ship Orari left Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, I>jmedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on March 25. EOTORUA AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua iB reported to have reached London from Wellington on Sunday. MAUNGANUI DUE TO-DAY. Thf> Maungavui will arrive from Sydney at 7.30 o'clock this morning, according to her wireless advice. She will berth at, Queen's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo. MARIPOSA SAILED. The Matson Line's new steamer Mariposa sailed for Sydney yesterday morning. The vessel will arrive at Sydney at eight oVlock on Thursday morning, and she is to sail at noon on Saturday on her return voyage to San Francisco, via the East. 11.M.M.5. AORANGI SAILED. The Royal Mail liner Aorangi sailed for Sydney at mid-day yesterday in continuation of her voyage from Vancouver. The vessel is due at Sydney on Thursday, and she is to sail on her return voyage to Vancouver, via Auckland, on March 3. NEWTON PINE FROM NAURU, Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, have received advice that the steamer Newton Pine left Nauru Island on February 17 with a full cargo o£ 7000 tons of phosphates for Auckland. She is due next Monday. ARATAPU, A PERUVIAN VESSEL. After being registered under the Peruvian flag, the auxiliary schooner Aratapu sailed for Papeete last evening. The vessel is now Chinese-owned and will be utilised in tile inter-island trade. ■ KANNA TO RESUME. The Karma, which has been laid up in the stream for a number of weeks, is to be recomrnissioned. The vessel will be docked this morr.ing, apd after imdocking she is to proceed to Portland to load cement.. She will return to Auckland to complete loading for Wellington and Lyttelton. Limited, have received advice that the Japanese motor-ship Melbourne Maru is scheduled to clear Melbourne on Thursday in continuation of her voyage from Japan to Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at Auckland on March 3 and she is to sail for Japan, via Sydney, the same day. KAPONCA DELAYED BY STORM. The Kaponga, which was due from Lyttelton and Wellington yesterday morning, has been delayed by etormy weather on the coust, and expects to arrive at seven o'clock this morning. The vessel will berth at Prince's Wharf. After discharge she proceeds to Greymouth and Westport to load for New Plymouth and Auckland. ZEALANDIC ARRIVED. The Shaw. Savill and Albion motor-ship Zealandic arrived from Liverpool yesterday morning and berthed at Queen's Wharf to unload 2700 tons of general merchandise from Glasgow and Liverpool for Auckland. The remainder of the cargo is for Wellington Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel sailed from Liverpool on January 13, and experienced strong south-west gales and high head seas during the first three days from port. After the Bay o.f Biscay was crossed the weather improved. The oil fuel bunkers were replenished at Capetown on January 31, and the voyage was resumed tile following day. Except for a westerly gale experienced from February 7 to February ft generally fair weather prevailed during the remainder of the voyage. The speed from Liverpool to Auckland averaged 14.6 knots, but from Capetown to Auckland an average of 14.9 knots was maintained. Captain ll* C.
