IRISH PILOT KILLED.
CAUGHT IN AIR POCKET.
AEROPLANE CRASHES IN FRANCE
(Received February 22, 5.5 p.m.) MARSEILLES. Feb. 22,
A young Irish airman, Mr. M. G. Scally, who left, Dublin on February 17 for Ceylon in a tiny monoplane on a secret mission oil behalf of the Hospitals Trust, was caught in an air pocket near Marseilles. His machine crashed and Mr. Scally died in hospital from his injuries.
