SNAKE IN BEDROOM.
.<». ATTACKED BY DOG. OWNER SEVERS THE HEAD. Mr. W. D. Walton, of Lithgow, New South Wales, was awakened at night recently by the barking of his dog, an Alsatian. He got out of bed and saw a 6ft. snake gliding across the room. It was pounced upon by the dog, which gripped the reptile near head. When Mr. Walton attempted to pull it from the dog's mouth the dcigf would not let go, and Mr. Walton waii obliged to sever the snake's head with a large knife, using the floor as a block.
