CONVERSION OF CAR.
FINE OF £5 IMPOSED. A charge 1 of converting to his use a J otor-car, valued at £250, the property °f Ernest Cecil Johnston, was denied by William Frederick Parris, seaman, aged 29, in the Police Court on Saturday. Counsel said accused, who was employed by a taxi firm, had been in the habit of using the cars at the garage. The proprietor of the firm said he did n °t know that accused, who was his cousin, had taken the car. He would not pave permitted the use of the vehicle in any case, as accused did not have a driving licence. . The magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., imposed a fine, of £5, in default 14 days' ,
