RISK OF SODIUM CHLORATE. [FROM Ottß OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU, Friday. The six-year-old daughter of a Maori, Moses Hunopo. of Owairaka, died this morning as the result of severe burns. She set fire to a sack" which had been used to contain sodium chlorate for destroying ragwort. It burst into flames, setting fire to the child's clothing. She received medical attention in To Awamutu, but the. shock was so great' that, she failed to recover.
