RECORD CAR RUN.
WELLINGTON TO AUCKLAND. A "baby" car record run of 13 hours 12 minutes from Wellington to Auckland was completed by Messrs. L. F. Bedford and S. Francis in a Singer car yesteiday. The car arrived at the chief post office, Auckland, at 1.12 p.m. A load equivalent to four passengers was carried. Heavy rain was experienced for the greater part of the journey, and near Waitara the exhaust pipe came off when a bump was struck, a delay of 35 minutes being caused.
