WATCHING THE SEAGULLS.
IN RED VELVET. Every mother of a fair-haired little girl will be interested to know that Princess Elizabeth looks her most beautiful in red velvet. I have seen her out driving lately, says the writer, with her Nannie and little sister, and on each occasion she has been wearing a little hat and a little coat of the richest£ed velvet imaginable. Never have I seen a prettier picture. Every afternoon the happy little party starts off from 145, Piccadilly, to drive round Hyde Park and then up Baker Street into Regent's Park, and so home again in time for tea. Princess Elizabeth is greatly interested in watching the seagulls being fed—she claps her hands with delight when they swoop down and catch morsels of bread in midair—while little Princess Margaret Rose just gazes in wide-eyed wonderment! Such a lovely baby she is, too!
