TAURANGA TOURNAMENT. / PLAY CONTINUES IN RAIN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Friday. The bowling tournament was continued to-day in wet -weather. The final in Section B. played between Te Awamutu and Tauranga, was won by Te Awamutu by 27 points to 11 on the 20th head. Ihe final, between Onehunga and Te Awamutu, will be played to-morrow morning. GAMES AT WHANGAREI. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Friday. There was a good attendance of bowlers on the Whangarei Bowling Clubs greens yesterday afternoon. Weather conditions •were excellent. Blanshard, If. \ full rink tournament was held yesterday afternoon on the Portland Clubs greens in fine weather, and the green was in splendid playing order. T^he^ following team from the Kensington Bowling Club was successful in winning the tournament: Walden. Hilford, Stringer, Bartlett (b.). Arrangements are being made to hold a "Veterans' Day" on the Whangarei Bowling Club's greens on March 2. This will be the first event of its kind in the North, and is being keenly looked forward to by a large number of veteran bowlers in various parts of the North.
