ARRIVAL OF JOCKEY

CHAMPION IN TRAINING.

The Australian jockey Elliott, who is to ride Phar Lap in the champion horse's engagements in Mexico, arrived at Agua Caliente to-day to begin the final preparation of the horse for the big handicap.

Phar Lap continues his daily workouts through heavy rain and on a muddy track. Mr. Francis Nelson, the presiding steward of the Agua Caliente Jockey Club, expresses tbe opinion that Phar Lap is the finest-looking horse that ever came to Mexico. The club has arranged for short-wave broadcast of the details of the race in the hope of it reaching listeners in Australia.
