MATCHES IN SECOND ROUND. INTERESTING PLAY EXPECTED. GRAFTON VERSUS PARNELL. Interesting cricket is anticipated to-morrow when the second series of matches in the second round of the Auckland Cricket Association's championship will be concluded. In the chief match Grafton, the lending team, made 2:11 against Parnell last Saturday. Pnrnell replied with 44 for one wicket, to tho result appears very open, providing the conditions are good to-morrow. All the other mulches are at an interesting stage. Eden compiled 212 against Ulliverßity, which has 74 runs on without loss. Y.M.C.A. made 220 against Ponsonby, the latter replying with 44 for one wicket. At Devonport King's Old Boys totalled 238 against North Shore, tho local team scoring 40 runs for no wickets. Lower grade matches will be continued to-morrow. MATCH POSTPONED. The third grade match between Takapuna and W.Y.M.I, in tho Auckland Cricket Association's competition set down for tomorrow has been postponed. FRIENDLY MATCH. A match between teams representing the Pacific Cable Board and Combined Navy resulted in a win for the latter by two runs. Scores:—Pacific Cable Board: for six wickets, declared (Christian 58, Henry 15, not out. Stoupo 15. Condon 13. Kockley 11. not. out, Robertson 10). Bowling; Dunsford two for 34, Luke one for 11, Jackson one for 15. Gunn one for 22. Langlev one for 3G. Combined Navy, 1.0 tor eight wickets (Walker TS, not out. Col left 23. West all 17. Davies 16.
