OBITUARY.
MR. J. E. OGDEN. TASMANIAN POLITICIAN. HOBART, Feb. <!. The death has occurred of Mr. dames Ernest Ogden. aged 64, after a long illness. He had been a member of the Stale and Federal Parliaments continuously since 1906. The late Mr. ,T. E. Ogden was born at Geelong, Victoria, on March 8, 1363. He was member of the Tasinanian House of .Assembly for Zeehan. 1906 0, anil for Darwin after that until 1922 when he resigned. Ho was Treasurer, 1999, and Chief Secretary and Minister of Mines and Labour, 1914-16. He was first, elected to the Senate as a Labour member for Tasmania in 1922.
