TENDER FOR METALLING. [from our own correspondent.] TAURANGA, Saturday. A motion that application be made to the Minister of Lands to vest the Mount Maunganui domain reserve in the Mount Maunganui Town Board was made at tlio last meeting of the Tauranga County Council. It was decided not to take any action at present. Tlie domain is administered by a hoard comprising Ilia Tauranga Borough Council. 'Die council accepted, subject to the approval uf 1 lie Public Works Department, tiie tender of Mr. J 11. Evans, for £540. for metalling the Fapuniou-Mount Maunganui secondary highway. Mi*. 11. King, o£ Auckland, forwarded a photograph of his father, the late Mr. Robert King, who was Chairman of the council for six years and was also a prominent member of many other public bodies in the district. The council recorded its appreciation of the gift, which will bo placed with other photographs in tho council's meeting room.
