PROFESSOR OF SKIDS.
A man who earns a living by skidding Mr. Thomas Dale, of the London General Omnibus Company—is about to'retire at the age of 65. He has taught thousands of bus drivers the art of correcting any kind of skid. Mr. Dale has been with the London General Omnibus Company 46 years, and in the early days drove a horse bus. ' ■ ,'o To thousands of visitors to the company's works at Chiswick Mr. I)ale has demonstrated his skill in causing hairraising skids and (fcrrecting them. The Prince of Wales, statesmen, and people of all nations have marvelled at him, his bus careering and waltzing, turning and swaying crazily, but never <juite coming to disaster.
