The authorities' ban. it was stated, is to remain in force; but a concession has been i made, inasmuch as smoking will be j allowed in private rooms. When a member asked if '.his was to apply to women teachers, the chairman replied: "Yes, very much so. Some of them smoke as much as the men." i
