CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—Fine but dull weather prevailed yesterday, the wind being light from the south-west. The barometer was steady in the evening at 29.95 in.
Wellington.—The weather was bright and sunny. The sky was cloudless and a light breeze blew from the north.
C'hristchurch.—The weather was warm and sunny with a fresh breeze from th# north-east. The thermometer registered 74 degrees. The. barometer was steady at 29.70 in.
Dunedin.—The weather was overcast hot fine with a light bveeze from the .* east. The barometer '-Mas rising and » the evening it stood at 2S.&l)in.
