AS GOOD AS A PROPOSAL.
A rather novel Christmas present was received liv a good-nal urerl olil bachelor in a Wellington boarding house. Plight through the year lie had been the neverfailing source of supply of free "Baxter's" for the benefit of his suffering fellowboarders. One lady of uncertain age, who was thought to lake undue advantage of his generosity, made amends by, presenting him with a "family size" bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver on Christmas Day. "As good as a proposal," said the wag of the house. " Baxter's " 'should be in every household all the year round, 'ready to deal effectively with coughs, colds, hoarseness and throat afflictions, and as a safeguard against, influenza. The lingo Dominion-wide following that "Baxter's" has is a 'wonderful tribute to the efficacy of this reijiedy. Generous size bottle, 2s 6d; bachelor's size, Is 6d; family size, 4s 6d, at all chemists and stores.—Advt.
