RICHMOND GRUISING CLUB.
ANNUAL REGATTA TO-MORROW. ~~ " * The Richmond Cruising Club will hold its annual regatta to-morrow afternoon. Excellent entries havo been received and keen competition is anticipated. The motorbout Marion D., owned by Mr. J. Donald, will act as flagship and will be moored oil Pousonby Wharf. All events will start and finish between the flagship and the wharf. The three-flag system of starting will be used. The officials in charge of the racing will be:—Starter, Mr. J. Dennis; judfre. Mr. T. L." Thompson; timekeepers, Messrs. J. L. Longbottoni, C. F. Newbold; recorder, Mr. G. E. Laycock. The starting times are as follows:—Keel yachts, 2.40 p..n.; H class, 2.45 p.m.; L and N classes, 2.50 p.m.; V and M classes, 2.55 p.m.; S class, 3 p.m.; Y class, 3.5 p.m.; T and X classes, 3.10 p.m.; Z clans, 3.15 p.m. » Following are tlio 'courses for keel yachts and H, L and N classes:—From starting line, thence to Resolution buoy on port hand, thence to Saudspit beacon on port hand, thence to pile beacon off Chelsea on port hand, thence to Rona buoy oil starboard hand, finishing at starting line. For classes M and V the cour?e is as follows :-~From starting line, thence to Resolution buoy on port hand, thence to Sandspit beacon on port hand, finishing at starting line. For classes S. Y, T, X and 7, the following course has been decided upon:— From starting line, thence to Rotia buoy on port hand thence to pile beacon on port hand, thence through starting line, thence to Rona buoy of! port hand, thence to pile beacon on port hand, thence to Rona Imoy on starboard, finishing at starting line. ROYAL SQUADRON'S RACE
CRUISING EVENT TO HAWAII
The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron will hold a 'cruising race to Kawau ior keel yachts this evening, starting oft King's Wharf at seven o'clock. The first prize is a cup presented by Rear-Admiral Blake. Following a re the entries:—Janet- Waitangi, Ariki. Wairiki. Victory, Kotuku, lorangi. Nga-Toa. Ladye Wilma. Prize, Kolere, Waione. Ida. Moana, Windward, Kawpnc, Ilex. Little Jim. To-morrow the squadron will hold three races at Kawau, two for keel yachts and one for class IV!. 3n the first race all craft will be sailed by ladies. MANUKAU CEUISING CLUB. RACE TO CORNWALLIS. The Manukau Cruising Club will hold a cruising race for yachts and launches to C'ornwallis to-morrow. The limit yacht will start at 1.45 p.m., and the launches at 15 p.m. on No. 2 course.
