WHANGAREI TOURNAMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.-—OWN CO I! R F.SPON DENT. ] WHANGAREI. Thursday. The annual tournament of the Whnngarei Croquet Club was concluded to-day in perfect, weather. The following ore the results Championship Singles.—The finnl was played between Mrs. Hilton, Auckland, and Mrs. Torrence, Auckland, the former winning. 2(>—-25, 22—20, 20—22. Handicap Singles.—Mrs. Fletcher. 26. v. Mrs. l)oyle. II; Mrs. Gnrr, 20, v. Mrs. Fletcher, 2:j; Mrs. Schubert. 20. v. Mrs. Dolbel. V. The filial was played between Mrs. Schubert and Mrs, Dukes, the former winning by 20 to 11. . Handicap Doubles.—The final was won b.v Mesdames Hilton and Torrence, who beat Mesdames McGregor and Scally, 20—23. The championship doubles was won by Mesdames McGregor and Scally, who won b.v default from Mesdames Hilton and Torrence. Tim presentation of trophies was made by Mrs. L. Baigent, president of the club.
