Fukekolie to-dny, conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, cattle were penned in average numbers, and sold at late quotations. Best dairy cows and heifers brought £4 to £5 7a 6d; others, £2 to £3 15s; light fat steers, to £5; fat cows, £3 to £4; others. £2 to £2 15s; tollable cows, £1 5s to £1 15s; boners, 10s to £1; yearling heifers, 15s to £1 9s; bulls, £1 to £5 2s 6d. There was a large yarding of fat pig 3. Baconers sold at improved values, while porkers were on a par with late quotations. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company held the usual fortnightly stock Bale at Matamata on Wednesday, when heavy yardings of ca.ttle and sheep, a full yarding of baconers, and an average number of store pigs came forward. Cattle were poor demand, but all classes of sheep met with keen competition. Store pigs sold at late rates, while under steady competition . baconers brought slightly increased prices on last sale ratea. .Quotations are; Cattle: Besti fat covrs, £2 10s to £3 Is; light fat cows, £1 lis to £2; killable cows. £l is to £2 8s; store cows, I 16s to £1; borers, 5s to 14s; potter bulls. tl !o £2 17s 6d; light potter bulln, £1 Is to £i 15s; heifers, running with bull, £1 15a to £2.
