NEW YORK FINANCES.
ADVANCE BY BANKS. FURTHER MONEY REQUIRED. (Received January 20, 9.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 19. Wall Street bankers have made a last minute agreement to advance New York City 12,500,000 dollars of the 32,500,000 dollars required to meet immediate obligations. The loan must he repaid with 6 per cent, interest in 11 days. It is believed the city treasury will be able to cover the remainder, but it is expected that unless the city is able to negotiate new loans in the meantime New York will be virtually without funds after February 1.
