RICH RADIUM FIND.
UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY. AUSTRIAN WATER DIVINER. VIENNA, Jan. 19. A water-diviner, using an old silver watch chain as a pendulum, obtained such reactions at Neuhaus, near Linz, that lie guaranteed water to bo available nine feet down. When, however, the borings did not yield water, the diviner was so puzzled that 'no sent a sample of the earth to tho Government Research Institute, which reported that it contained the highest radium content hitherto found in Europe. The report stated that- 11.000 tons of earth would yield one kilogramme of pure radium.
