J [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] i "WHANGAEEI, Wednesday, j The Teachers' Summer School is reaching its closing stages, but the interest shown by the members continues to be keen. A party of 50 teachers visited Wilsons Portland Cement works, Portland, being met by Mr. T. H. Wilson, manager, and conducted over the works. Officials explained to tho members of the party the various operations in connection with the manufacture of cement. Yesterday afternoon about 240 members of the school went for an outing down the harbour as far as the Heads. Tho party was. accommodated in seven large launches. This evening the. teachers of the school presented a. complimentary concert in the Town Hall.
