DOMESTIC TRAGEDY.
THREE DEATHS RESULT. ALLEGED DOUBLE MURDER. (Received December ;iO, !).15 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Dec. 30. A shocking domestic tragedy, resulting in three deaths, occurred nfc Helmsdale, South Australia, early this morning. The victims were Reginald Jones, aged 50, billiard saloon-keeper, his wife, Gertrude Jones, aged 48, and their daughter M;ujorie, aged 18. A woman who boarded with the family says she was awakened by hearing Marlorio scream. A neighbour who also heard the screams rushed across the road and looked through a window. She states that she saw Jones in the act of killing the girl, whose throat was severely cut as she fell at the foot of her mother's bed. Jones, it is alleged, then hit iiis wife on the head and cut her throat. Afterwards lie is said to have committed suicide outside in the back yard hy cutting his own throat. The police have ascertained that Jones had been worried lately over the loss of patronage at his billiard saloon.
