EXPERIMENT IN COURT.
record of proceedings. STEEL TAPE IMPRESSION. (Received December 31, 12.33 a.m.) LONDON. Dec. SO. As an experiment microphones were installed at the Sessions Court. The proceedings were recorded electromagnetically on-a steel tape, thus forming a permanent record which can bo reproduced on loud-speakers or headphones. This system' of keeping police records is already operating at Scotland \aid, but not yet at any courts. It is suggested this will greatly shorten legal proceedings.
