TUG SUNK IN THAMES. NINE OF CREW DROWNED. AMERICAN TRADER INVOLVED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. LONDON. Dec. 20. The unlucky spot on the Thames known as Gallions Reach, near Woolwich. opposite to the entrance to the Royal Albert Docks, where in 1878 the pleasure steamer Princess Alice was sunk in a collision with the loss of nearly 7CO lives, was the scene of a collision between the well-known steamer American Trader from New York and the tug Royalist.The tug sank in the darkness nnrl nine m. n were drowned. There was only one survivor.
