RESULTS OF ELECTIONS. GOVERNMENT LOSES TWO SEATS. (Received December 6, 5.5 p.m.) DUBLIN, Dec. 5. The Irish Free Stato Senate triennial elections, by vote of the Low f er House under tho proportional representation system, resulted in the Government Party securing nino seats, the lianna I ail Party seven, Independents five, Labour two. The Government lost two seats and the Independents one, all to the lianna I"ail. The Irish Senate, or Seanad Eireann, is composed of GO members. The first Senate consisted of 30 members elected by the Dail Eireann and 30 nominated by the President of tho Executive Council. Tho term of office of a member is normally nine years. One-third of tho members retire every threo years and their places are filled by an election "at which the electors are the members of the Dail Eireann and tho members of Seanad Eireann voting together on principles of proportional representation." A panel of candidates is prepared beforo each election in the manner prescribed by law.
