FOUR BOATS CAPSIZE.

YACHT RACING MISHAPS. PROMPT RESCUE OF CREWS. Four open boats capsized in the harbour on Saturday afternoon, the crews being rescued without difficulty. A fresh south-westerly wind was blowing, and when spinnakers were brought into use the crews had an exciting time. The 14-footers Joan and Fay overturned while taking part in the Victoria Cruising Club's races, and the 12ft. 6in. Z class boats, Me Too and Drvsdale, capsized while competing in the Takapuna Boating Club's fixtures. Joan was holding second position and capsized at the Bona buoy just as her spinnaker was about to be hoisted. Her crew was picked up by a passing launch and pfter tho boat had been placed on an even keel she was bailed out and sailed back to Devonport. Fay filled when gybing at the mark boat on completion of the first round. She was then holding third position. Several boats went to tlio assistance of her crew, including a cutter from H.M.S. Laburnum, which was anchored near the starting-line. Me Too was leading the fleet in her class when she upset her crew into tho water. Drysdale was not prominent when she met with her mishap. In the same rgce the Tio broke her tiller. The crews of the boats were rescued quickly.
