BRETT MEMORIAL HOME.

So that the Brett Memorial Home might bo better known to the parishioners of the North Shore, an At Homo was held in tho grounds of tho homo on Saturday afternoon. A delightful fairy play was given in tho first part of the afternoon by tho children on tho main lawn in front of the building, and with fancy flower costumes and a beautifully draped throne, strewn with flowers, a picturesque setting was made for the fairy bower which was the scene of the play. Archbishop Averill addressed those present, and spoke of tho urgent need for support from the peoplo in helping the home. It was hoped that annual subscriptions would be given, which would materially benefit the upkeep of the 48 children now resident in it. Archbishop Averill also stressed the fact that the girls of tho home were largely responsible for the tidy condition of tho gardens, as there was only one gardener employed, and tho remainder was done by the children, which was a great credit to them. Canon Young, a member of the house committee, also spoke. Tea was served outside on the lawns, and following <his the guests were ablo to inspect the homo and to wander through tho grounds and walks surrounding it.
