MUNICIPAL BAND.
A large gathering enjoyed the first of the season's summer park recitals given by the Auckland Municipal Band at Albert Park last evening. The programme was arranged to appeal to a diversity of tastes and encores were numerous.. Each item was received with continued applause, especially a fiue piccolo solo by Mr. Hal C. McLennan and a cornet duet by Messrs. Bowes, and Davies. Future open-air band concerts should enjoy great popularity. The band also gave an entertaining programme at the Zoological Park in the afternoon.
