MACKY, LOGAN, CALDWELL.
RETAIL TRADE ENTERED. WHOLESALE BUSINESS CONTINUED Owing to a decision to enter the retail tiade the premises of Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Limited, warehousemen, in Auckland and Wellington, were temporarily closed on Saturday. The Auckland premises are to be reopened on Friday as a combined wholesale and retail warehouse. It is expected that four days of this week will be occupied in the preparation of the three lower floors for the opening. The firm employs about 20<30 hands. Besides large warehouses it owns woollen mills, knitting factories, millinery workrooms and some of the largest clothing manufacturing establishments for men's and women's apparel in the country. The wholesale portion of the business is to be continued as formerly.
