OBITUARY.
MRS. RICHARD HARRIS. [I'ROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WHAXGAREI, Saturday. The death occurred at the Whangarei Hospital, last night of Mrs. Richard Harris, aged 78 years. She arrived in New Zealand in 1865 in the ship Lancashire Witch, with her father, the late Mr. Levi Doll, and other members of tho family, and they settled at Pukerau, near Kawakawa. She subsequently married Mr. Richard Harris, and they had a family of nine children. About 40 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Harris took up farming at Riponui, where they remained until about 12 years ago, when they removed to Auckland. While on a visit to Ilikurangi Mrs. Harris contracted influenza and bronchitis and the illness proved fatal. Mrs. Harris survived by her husband, thice daughters and fi «e sons.
