MANAKAU AMATEUR CLUB. Two short road races were conducted by the Manukau Amateur Cycling • Club on Saturday, a junior race of one lap, 2J miles, and a senior event over five miles. A strong head wind on the. hill section at back of the circuit slowed the riders. The junior result was: —A. Brns3 (455), riding time. 7m 17s, 1; J. H. McLachlan (10e), 6m 465, 2; J. R. Hall (455), 7m 225. 3; J. E. Sparrow (555), 7m 335, 4. "Won by 100 yds. Fastest time was returned by J. H. McLachlan, 103, in Gm 465. The placed seniors were:—L. M. Nicholson (2m), riding time, 15m 3s, -1; R. T. Baston (lm 40s), 14m 445, 2: W. Borland (lm 40s), riding time,'l4m 455; S. PiriiOid (lm ss), 14m 40s. Won by two lengths. E. A. Cleaver, scr, secured fastest time hoaourt in 14m 9s.

The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle. Club held its second track carnival of the season at Lynndale on Saturday afternoon. Following were the results: — Half-mile Open Handicap.—First heat: H. 0.
