COLLEGE CHAPEL.
EARTHQUAKE PRECAUTIONS The chapel of the Wartganui Collegiate School lias been undergoing certain alterations to minimise the risk of earthquake damage. Tho alterations, which have been designed by Mr. W. Gray Young, of Wellington, the original architect, will not impair' the attractiveness of the structure. The chapel is of Gothic design, erected in brick, and faced with Onmaru stone. It was erected in .1911 at. a cost of £6OOO, being a gift, of the old boys of the school. The interest of tlio building is enhanced by the stained glass memorial windows, oak panelling, and other memorial tokens. In 1926 a three-manual organ costing £2700 was Installed, also the gift of old boys.
