DISQUALIFIED FOR LIFE.
MOTORIST'S OWN REQUEST,. LOSS OF SELF-CONTROL. Arthur Ingram Walgate, farfier, wus at his own request recently disqualified for life from holding a motor driving licence at Hornsea, Yorkshire. He was fined £25 on each of two summonses for being under the influence of drink when driving a motor-car and for dangerous driving. He was also ordered to pay cojits on two other summonses to which he pleaded guilty, the fines and costs amounting to £56 14s. Walgate's solicitor said he had advised defendant to consent to voluntary life disqualification because he was subject to violent storms in which hegave way to drink and lost control of himself. The prosecution stated that Walgft* collided with another car. The other car was overturned and his own car went through the fencing of some houses £ tunately, no one was hurt. He had pi*' viously collided with a cow.
