MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED.
STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR. COLLISION NEAR PENROSE. A compound fracture of the right thigh was received by a motor-cyclist, Mr. Hubert. Georgo Hnmer, aged 30, married, as a result of a collision between his motor-cyclo and side-car and a motor-car on the Great South Road near tho Penrose overhead bridge about 4.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Hamcr was riding toward the city and was approaching tha corner north of the bridge when he was overtaken by a motor-car driven by Mr. A. M. Salmon, of 20, Seymour Street', Ponsonby. The motor-car skidded on the wet surface of the road and crashed into the cycle broarlsido on, the rider's right leg taking the full impact. Mr. Hamer, who resides at 1, Wall Road, Penrose, was taken to the Auckland Hospital in the St. John Ambulance. His condition was not serious last evening.
