THE HIKURANGI CLUB. [FRim OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HIKURANGI, Monday. The Hikura:iji Homing Pigeon Club finished its series of races in connection with the yearling average on Saturday. The race was Palmcrston North, but was a. failure. The birds should have been liberated at (i a.m., but did not get to Pnlmerston until 9.30 a.m. They were liberated soon after, but owing to meeting bad'weather they had not timo to reach homo before dark, and not one bird got home the same day._ This concluded the yearling average, which was won by JG. Gilbey. Next Saturday one bird from each loft will ho sent lo Papakurn. to take part in an interval race.
