WATERFRONT ROAD LIGHTING.
Sir,—Having occasion to travel by the waterfront road at night I was struck by (ho unnecessary glaring brilliancy of the new lights. At present, the illumination is so strong that it would he quite possible and easy to read a newspaper on (ho opposite side of the road. Dazzling .street, lights tnako driving much more dangerous than dazzling headlights, especially on frho waterfront road, where traffic at night is comparatively small. Before the advent of these new lamps night driving by the car's own headlights was quite safe and pleasant, but with the present lighting it is a severe strain. Glimmer.
