OBITUARY.
MR. GEORGE BELCHER, The death of Mr. Georgo Belcher, aged 85, occurred recently at his residence, 70, Grange Road, Mount Eden. 110 was born ir Berkshire), England, and came to New Zealand with his wife and family in 1874. With his shipmates he took up land at Iloteo North, and together they carved out their homes in tho virgin bush. There were no roads or bridges and he helped to build the first Iloteo Bridge. Mr. Belcher was a well-known farmer and stock breeder. After the death of his wife 13 years ago he retired and came to Auckland, where later he married Miss A. Wright. Mr. Belcher leaves a widow and four sons and four daughters. Messrs. Alfred E. Belcher, Mount Roskill; Robert J. G. Belcher and Frederick T. J. Belcher, Mount Eden, .and Cecil W. Relcher, Helensvillo, and Mrs. James Parker, formerly of Wellslord -. Mrs. W. Molloy, Archhill, Mrs. E. Stensness, North Auckland, and Mrs. R. Booth, of Sydney.
