AUSTRIAN AIRMEN TO RESCUE.

Twenty-seven thousand swallows, overcome by gales and torrential rains during their flight to the south, were collected Rt Vienna and in surrounding villages and were carried to-day in boxes by aeroplanes at, Venice, where they were set free in the sunshine. Twenty-three thousand are to be transported by the same means to-mor-row.
