WHITE STAR LINE.
HEAVY TRADING LOSSES. DRASTIC STEPS PROMISED. LONDON, Sept. 24. At a meeting of the White Star Line the chairman. Mr. Walter Rnnciman, announced Lord Kylsant's retirement, which was greeted with hand clapping and hear, hears. Mr. Runciman said the company could not much longer operate while the trading losses were so large without something drastic being done. He was unable to state what form that would take. The report was adopted, with four dissentients.
