GOVERNMENT'S MEASURES. RUSINESS OF PARLIAMENT. British Wireless. RUGBY. Sept. 24. From statements made in the House of Commons by Mi"- Baldwin and in tho ITou.se of Lords by the Marquess of Reading as to the future business of both Houses, it appears that by Friday of next week the riovernmerit's two bills on economy and finance, which embody its scheme for restoring and maintaining equilibrium in the national finances, wil. be passed into law, completing the firs! or emergency part of the task of the Nat ionai Government. ft is probable that not until then wdl there be any definite indication of the Cabinet's conclusions with regard to the general situation, and particularly as to the measure to deal with the adverse balance of trade. Mr. Baldwin said to-day that he was not in a position to say when the Govern ment proposed to bring to an end the present part of the Parliamentary session, but he promised to make an announcement as soon as possible.
