TO RELIEVE HAY FEVER.
Hay fever is a nervous complain!, so now is (lie time to build up I lie body, so (lint it may lie strong to withstand the ailment. The first essential is deep breathing. Some simple exercises done on rising in the morning and as often as possible through (lie day, arc of untold value. Always breathe through (lie nose. Eat wholemeal bread and porridge, with honey or golden syrup on it. No" white sugar should be taken. Partake of fruit in season —dates, prunes, sultanas, and so on. Let. the first drink be tho juico of a lemon in a glass of hot water; then. an hour later, the yolk of'an egg beaten in the juice of an orange. If very run down, two of these or extract of malt ran be taken in the day. Sponging the face in hot water, and hot lemon drinks give much relief and comfort. When a severe attack conies on take the following:—One small teaspoon of tincture <»f ammoniated quinine*"!!) half a glass of cold water, with aspros -every fytir hours; first dose, two aspros; second and third, one each. Repeat. until relieved. This is also excellent for colds in the head and influenza. 1 also 'find boiled eucalyptus sweets a great help. I should be so pleased to help any with suggestions, for 1 myself am cured. The extraordinary curative power of wearing a piece of amber (or amber necklace) has already been stressed in these columns for this complaint.
