PRIMATE OF CANADA.
DR. C. L. WORRELL APPOINTED TORONTO. Sept. 23. I>r. C. L. Worrell, of Halifax, Archbishop of Nova Scotia since 1915, has been elected Primate of All Canada by the House of Bishops of tho General Synod of the Church of England in Canada. Dr. Worrell succeeds Dr. S. P. P. Matheson, of Winnipeg, who retired last year. Dr. Clarendon Lamb Worrell was born in Canada in 1853, and took holy orders in 1881. After holding various curacies ho was. from 1891 to 1904, Rector of St. Mark, Barriefield, Ontario, and also Professor of English Literature at tho Royal Military College at Kingston. Ho was appointed Bishop of Nova Scotia in 1904, and Archbishop in 1915.
